The day phoebe went white and had convulsions

Today phoebe and carter accompanied me on a newborn shoot. We drove 45 minutes to get there and realized while I was trying to buy us lunch that I had forgotten my purse at home. So we went to the photo shoot hungry for lunch, except for some gluten free crackers and applesauce I had brought for carter. About an hour into the shoot phoebe was standing next to me holding a reflector and I looked over at her in time to notice her face was white as a sheet including her lips. She started to fall (faint) and I caught her. I picked her up and she was stiff as a board. Her eyes were open but no one was home. She was making a really scary sound and shaking. I put her down on the carpet and tried to get her coherent.  About a minute later and what seemed like an eternity, she finally came back. She said she was going to throw up, so I picked her back up and ran her to the bathroom. Oh joy. We sat on the bathroom floor in front of the toilet mopping her forehead with a wet cloth. She didn't have a fever. It hit me then that she has the curse of low blood sugar problem that I have and Logan has too.

I asked the people whose house we were at if they would make phoebe a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or maybe they offered. I don't remember. But phoebe sat and ate a sandwich and drank a huge glass of water and was instantly better.

It was very scary. We love our Phoebe-weebie! !

pogo stick

We always have so much fun at my parents house. Logan found my sister's old pogo stick and wanted to try it out. He couldn't even figure out how to get on the thing, so trevor showed him how. Haha! He will kill me for this. On a side note, do you remember pogo balls? I think that's what they were called. I wanted one so badly when I was little.

Tired

We've been gone nearly every weekend for a month. I'm tired. Trevor is tired. No more traveling for a while. We need time with our family at home. Plus, trevor has a zillion projects to work on and they haven't been getting done. These are not honey-dos. I don't have any of those.

Wow. It just hit me that I don't have honey do projects!!! Yay! I never wanted to be a wife like that. Yay!!! Yay!! I do my own honey do projects thankyouverymuch!!

Trevor has two cars he's been working on. One we invested in last Fall to flip, and then his baby the Scrambler needs some repairs.

So anyway, I'm glad to say we will not be taking any trips for a long while. Hopefully.

Plus, you know it's really annoying to be away from home and try to potty train. I stopped trying after the first time. And regression is frustrating.

She Made It!

We got a letter in the mail over the weekend telling us that phoebe made it into Logan's school (the charter school)! We are thrilled and excited. Phoebe is excited too. I am feeling a bit sad to think that she will be gone all day instead of half a day, but I know it will be good for Phoebe. Now we just need to get Samantha over there and life will become instantly easier. Except maybe we won't.  I just can't decide. I think It's good for Sami to be by herself.  Thoughts?
We also started watering the grass last week. Oh Spring is here and there is no turning back!

She's the Best!

I've said it before and I'll say it again.  Kelly Clarkson has the most amazing voice! Have you heard her latest duet with Josh Groban?

Copy and past that address for me. I'm on my cell phone and it makes it too complicated.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PpA511j_-5I

Oh I think I linked it!

Easter Dreaming

This wasn't really for Easter, but for the fun of it, we will say that it was. I made the girls matching dresses from some of trevor's worn out white shirts. The top part is the old white shirt. I replaced the white buttons with colored ones to match the sash on each girl's dress. The bottom fabric came from the clearance bin at joanns. I made these dresses entirely up from my head and on the spot. The sleeves are made differently on each one. Lol. And I didn't hem the bottom of either dress because the fabric is just going to curl up and hide it anyway.

Nothing was measured or pinned, just willy-nilly cut and chopped into pieces. Haha! And they took a few hours total to make. You should try it. Shirts are fun to make things from.

Just grab an old shirt and rip the collar off. That's the most recognizable part of the whole shirt. Then sew it back up or embellish it with new fabric like I did on these dresses. Once you've got the collar fixed, chop the shirt up and go from there. A totally fun experience.

By the way, you'll notice the buttons are spaced differently on each shirt. That's because they were different brands. Samantha's buttons really bothered me at first because they are not spaced evenly. But I'm not bothered enough to fix them. What a pain that would be.

I Have To Ask

Am I the only person that does not and never has worn lipstick? I'm seriously curious. What am I missing out on here? I wear chapstick.  I can't live without it. Is lipstick like chapstick? I get that lipstick is tinted duh, but what's the point. It seems like it could get messy all over my teeth and maybe my hair could get stuck in it, and maybe it would get all over my family when I smooch them and most especially I could see myself somehow ruining Trevor's white shirts that he wears to work every day. See, I just don't get it.

Bad, Bad LeRoy Brown

We have a cat. Our cat is known around the place as Roy, but sometimes when he goes on a crazy killing spree, we call him LeRoy.

Mostly on these killing days, he will bring a mouse to the front step and meow for me. I will open the door to find that LeRoy has mangled a mouse somehow. Sometimes he rips their heads off and other times he just leaves it as is.

Lately Roy has been tormenting the mice. He plays with them for hours. Lets them get up and run away only to be caught in seconds. He loves to fling them in the air. I'll look out the window because something caught my eye, and it's LeRoy flinging his mouse in the air over and over. This brings to mind an old song it goes something like " Bad bad LeRoy Brown. Baddest man in the whole dang toooowwwwn" except replace man with cat. We sing this song to Roy quite often.

Some days I swear Roy kills a whole colony of mice. I wonder if any are left out there. When Trevor is out working on the cars during the weekends, Roy brings the mice to Trevor to kill and Trevor wacks them over the head with a crowbar and throws them away. This game thrills Roy and he goes running off to find another mouse to bring back. Trevor thinks this is fun too and likes to praise Roy thoroughly and give him special treats. It's really disgusting.

When we first moved into this house, I noticed there were red dots on the cement floor of the garage. I just assumed the other occupants of this house had been poor painters, but Trevor laughed when I was making fun of their painting skills one day. That's when I found out that the red "paint" is actually mouse blood, and every time he hits one with the crowbar over the head, he creates more red "paint" drops.

Wow. You really wanted to know all of that, right?

We also have a pigeon problem. They infest every outbuilding we have, and scare the hebegeebies out of me every time I walk into one of the buildings. We hired Logan to shoot them and kill them. So far, even though he has hit them, none have died. We need a more powerful bb gun. We do have other guns, but at what point do you trust your 9 year old with a gun and hope he won't break a window, or shoot his sister? I'm talking a more powerful co2 pellet gun people. Not a real gun. I'm not that stupid.
