On Vacation...
I can close my eyes and picture it.
White sand in my toes.
Clear blue ocean in the distance.
And taking a selfie of my feet.

Ah gee whiz....
For real. I'm speechless. This is getting to be so absurd.
Truly.
You won't believe this.
Today, on the way to the new house, the tread on one of the trailer tires blew off on the highway and tore the fender off of the trailer.
For. Reals.
Ready for another one?
Today Samantha's teacher called to say she had just thrown up and to come get her.
For. Reals.
I'm not making any of this up.

The End
This is it. In theory, this is our last night here in this house.
You know when you watch a sitcom, and it's the final episode, and they do all these flashbacks showing all the special and important moments that happened on the show?
I've been having flashbacks.
So much happened while we lived here.
Phoebe learned to crawl and walk.
Logan and Sami started school.
We lost a most special baby, and had Carter after many trials.
We restored a jeep.
We sold two cars and bought a minivan.
We made too many memories to ever write them all down.
It's a mixed emotions feeling, and one I've never experienced.

Phoebe-weebie
I love love LOVE this girl. She is my right - hand man. I rely on her to help in so many ways. She steps up to most every task and somehow finds a way to make even the most mundane chores a game.
She has the most infectious laugh and smile. She has the talent to be able to make everyone around her feel important. Phoebe loves everyone!
She is very kind and so very worried about others feelings. Phoebe is a wonderful girl.
We love our Phoebe-weebie!!!!!!!

That one time we had a garage sale and forgot to take pictures.
Yesterday we had a garage sale. We sold a lot of stuff. We sold my beloved dining table and chairs. People were fighting over it. That made me feel good. The table was one I made out of pallets. The chairs I had painted a lovely Tiffany Blue. I had never quite finished them, and then two days before the sale I finally got them finished. That's really the worst part. I never got to use the set all the way done, but it really was pretty.
My neighbor joined me in selling stuff. She only had a little stuff, but it was still nice to have someone help me.
She brought out a pallet sign I had helped her make. She had free handed "love" on it and put ribbon on it in a very weird non pleasing way. She had been trying to sell the sign for two years and no one wanted it. So while we sat there selling stuff, I pulled the ribbon off and sanded and scuffed it. Then I stained it and sealed it. About five minutes after we put it back out to sell, someone offered us money for it! Yeah! We were on a roll!
Anyway, we sold everything I wanted and needed to get rid of. It really did make me feel sad, but I know it was for the best.
After the sale, we loaded up the trailer and took it to the new house using a friend's truck.
I am soooo tired today. I am really starting to feel worn down. I hope this move gets done soon.

Happy Birthday Mr. Perfect
Over the weekend my best friend, husband, and perfect match had a birthday. It probably wasn't the best birthday ever, but you'd never know it. He spent all day working to get us moved. He worked until late into the night and didn't complain once. I. Love. This. Man.

Crazy Hair Day - Again
Our elementary school really likes crazy hair day. I'm glad they do too, because we like to go all out!

When the Lord closes a door, somewhere He opens a window.
p.s. We are living here until four days before school ends for the year. I'll only have to drive Logan and Samantha for a few days. It will save us a lot of time and gas money.

Thank you to those of you who took the time to write an encouraging comment the other day. To be honest with you I'm feeling really discouraged. This move is already costing an arm and a leg and now a major car issue. I don't want to go into the other issues flying around my house right now, but life certainly is overwhelming me at the moment. When is this streak of bad luck going to leave us? I give! I must have broken a mirror and not known it or something. If that's the case, our seven years is almost up. But knowing our bad luck, it's probably only the beginning of things going wrong. I'm going to go cry now.

Moving on...
So after yesterday's glum news, I thought I'd redeem myself and talk about the good points of my birthday.
Samantha gave me a note and money. She recycled the note from a gift left on my doorstep earlier. Very sweet I'd say.
We got the three foot party sub from Subway; a lifelong dream. It was fun!
Logan scored his first goal ever in a soccer game in honor of my birthday!

Oh my....what a day.
Just like everything in my life, nothing comes easy. The move just came to a screeching halt. Until the van is fixed, our stuff is going nowhere.

Just call me the cleaning lady
We spent the night at the new house last night. Then we woke up this morning and scrubbed the house down. It was icky. They said the carpets had been cleaned, but I don't believe that was the truth. My carpet cleaner had black water pouring out of it every time I changed it. *shudder*

Break, we need one
Logan is in Spring soccer. I don't think I've mentioned it. He's made huge strides this season. He is not so scared, although he still struggles. I'm so proud of him! I haven't taken any pics of him.... sheesh. Guess I need to get on top of that. The other day at practice, it was warm and all the kids came and played on the playground while we waited for Logan.
