Easters Revisited

At Trevor's parents they did the Easter egg hunt just a little differently. There was money in each egg. To get the money, you had to shoot the egg. Pretty fun.

What we're doing

This is the move from X. There is nothing worse than having to clean two places instead of just one. Also, it's just far enough away to get annoying.  Once we get over there though, it will be heaven.

Easters

I really love Nacho Libre. I find myself thinking about it randomly all the time. And that has nothing to do with my topic today; Easter. We went to Boise and my parents house to pick up a trailer and a fridge. This year everyone got their own color eggs at the Easter egg hunt. Hello! What a genious idea! It was tons of fun and way more fair. We had another fun hunt, but I'm waiting for trevor to send me pictures. It was fun. A great weekend!

And they said it couldn't be done....

Here it is. My pallet headboard and footboard and one nightstand. Those are the drawers sitting on top of the night stand waiting for the fronts and then to be installed. I got kicked out of the garage for the rest of the day and we are leaving for the weekend, so it will have to wait for another day. Dang I am so excited to paint it all! All you wood purists keep your thoughts to yourself.  And Dad, those squares worked awesome for making my drawers! It's amazing how easy a job can be when you have the right tools.

Addiction.

Guys. I'm addicted... to building things.  I have had this pile of pallets for a while and finally it hit me what to build with them. A bedroom set. Well,  kind of. I'm only building the bed and nightstands. Okay, so not the set, but close!

I've spent the past few days building instead of packing. What is wrong with me? Tonight I finished the headboard. Tomorrow I'll finish the footboard and possibly the first night stand. I can't wait to show you all a picture. It's actually cute! Shabby chic cute. I mean,  it is made out of pallets, so don't get your expectations too high.

Pink.

This boy was acting so crazy today at church. Suddenly he has found his voice and wants to be entertained. I forgot about this part.

Let This be a Lesson to You, My Children...

There is this lady I know who drives me crazy. We'll call her Sally. Every morning Sally goes out to the bus with her dog and lets the dog poop in the yards of the houses all around the bus stop. Sally has never bothered picking up the poop her dog leaves. The dog is also allowed to run in the road, stopping or slowing the traffic which runs by the bus stop. Sally treats the dog as if it were her child, except not really. Who would let their child run in the road? Perhaps Sally would. I guess I've never contemplated that before.

Sally has many annoying habits,  but the worst habit is her need to gossip. Every morning, and sometimes afternoon (Sally sometimes picks her kids up from school), Sally cannot wait to tell me the latest gossip from our ward as we wait for the bus. She always has something to say about someone. She has told me of people who are pregnant, people who are not performing their callings well, people who are struggling, moving, dying... you name it, I've heard it. It makes me feel very uncomfortable. Also, Sally has no problem asking things that are none of her business, like "Alyson, when was the last time you attended the temple?" or "How much does Trevor make?" or "Are you on Medicaid?"

Sally can be very judgmental and unkind.

Unfortunately Sally has a calling in our ward that puts her front and center. She has told me that she is very proud of the callings that she and her husband have held. Also, she is proud of her counselors and their spouses for the callings they hold. Since when is a calling a status symbol?

What has upset me lately though, is not being able to tell anyone I am moving, or that we have found a house because Sally has beat me to it. Every. Single. Time.

Over the weekend we found a house.

On Monday I went to the bus stop. Sally was there asking her usual probing/nosy questions. I have nothing to hide. I told her we found a house and signed papers. We are moving people.

On Tuesday I called a friend to tell her. She already knew. Thanks Sally.

I can't wait to leave Sally behind. Sally needs a kick in the rear. Or a sock in the mouth.

Really Fun App

Ever since we got our new phones, it's been fun exploring all the different apps I can play with while I'm nursing Carter. The latest one I found is called SING! by Smule. I adore this app. I get to sing songs to my hearts content. This app requires you to purchase songs if you want to sing a solo, or if you'd prefer, you can sing a duet with a random stranger for free. I am now going to share with you the funniest, most absolutely hilarious song I sang with a random person last week. This just cracks me up to listen to. http://www.smule.com/p/100808163_34971687 Don't judge me on my singing, that is not the point of this. Listen to the person I sang the duet with. Especially stick around until the end of the song.
