I had a doctor appointment this week and she said everything looks good to go. And that's when it hit me. WAIT. WHAT?
It can't be time yet. I'm not ready.
I have a condition where my blood platelets are much lower than normal. This basically means I can't have an epidural during labor. If I were to have one, it would put me at great risk of becoming paralyzed. Also my blood won't clot as well and I bruise easier. I find out this week exactly how bad my case is.
I haven't had an epidural yet, so I think it's really no big deal.
The big deal for me is that we could be bringing a baby home any time and I have nothing ready! That's it. I've got to go unpack some boxes. This baby has to wear something!

Pretty in Blue
Yesterday I finished this super cute tutu for Samantha. I thought it would be fun to go take some pictures. We headed out in search of some railroad tracks. You have to know how obesessed I have been about all the tracks we have around here and how badly I wanted pictures on them. So we went to the train depot in our small downtown section and what do you know? The tracks are all fenced off. DUMB! However, we found a really cool speakeasy right next door that had some old cool brick. We stopped there for a few minutes and took some pictures, then went in search of some more tracks. We drove around awhile before we found these.....as seen below.

We weren't there very long. Sami was screaming and Logan was scared of being hit by a train. It was a disaster! I got one good picture on the tracks and even then....Sami has a tear streaked face. Not long after we got there, a really dumb guy stopped his car and was yelling at us to get off the tracks because we were idiots and a train was coming. He had all sorts of profanities coming out of his mouth. He said he was calling the cops on us and he WOULD NOT LEAVE! I was a little scared! My sister who was with me started yelling right back and I think intimidated him enough that he finally left.
All in all it was a waste of an hour, but we did get a few keepers at the speakeasy.

Another stupid MOUSE!

We have a mouse. An ugly, furry, gross mouse. Maybe more than one.
It showed it's disgusting face to me today. It was running all over the place while I cowered on the couch with my little niece Aftyn. I put on the tallest shoes I could find to set a trap. And then I sat and watched as it ran all around again. Under the couch, on top of the book, behind the curtains. I feel so violated. And yet with all that running it still hasn't found the trap.
So I put up the baby gate wrapped in tin foil to keep it in that room. I thought this was a brilliant idea. Trevor came home and said "what are you doing?" He doesn't think the tin foil is a very good idea. He says mice can jump. Can they? Does anyone know?
All I know is there is not enough room in this house for me and a mouse. One of us has to go.

Update - Update - Update!!!
Someone recently told me that I really must be grasping at straws with my last post since it was about a vacuum. OBVIOUSLY they didn't read it since it was about a dog with diarrhea.
But I digress, I really have been neglectful of this blog. I will attempt to redeem myself with a post unlike any I have made lately.
BEHOLD! I give you PICTURES!!!
Logan has been taking swim lessons. He LOVES going, and loves his teacher.
This is how the class walks around the pool. Quite funny to watch.

Next we have Samantha's first haircut:
We really needed to tame the savage beast.

Trevor put her in a headlock while I cut as fast as I could. She was so mad!
TA-DA! An after picture. Much better!
We went for a walk with the kids. We found out it doesn't work very well along our busy street. It has NO SIDEWALKS!!!!

BONUS: Logan took this picture tonight. 34 1/2 weeks pregnant.

Why I Love A Kirby Vacuum...
We dog sit this big black dog. Who knows what she is, but I would guess she has some lab in her. She is old . I have to lift her up the steps into the house when she is done with her business outside because she can't walk very well.
She was at our house 3 weeks ago and she got sick. Not throw-up, but the other end. I woke up on Sunday morning to an overwhelming stench of pooh. There it was in the middle of the family room carpet. A HUGE pile of Diarrhea. Remember, this is a big dog.
So I set out to clean it up trying not to add to the mess by vomiting myself. Two hours later it was all clean.
The next morning (after I had decided she was okay and it was just a one time thing) I woke up to the pooh smell again. And guess what it was this time? THREE huge piles of Diarrhea. One in the living room, and two in the family room. Plus a trail of poopy paw prints that went all around the living room. So that's when I knew I was going to need a carpet cleaner.
I went next door and my sister generously offered me the use of their Kirby with the carpet shampooer attachment.
Here is my review of the Kirby:
AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME!
It cleaned up all the pooh. It was easy to use. It got the carpet clean and the smell out. I'm in love with a Kirby, and someday (in about ten years, because that's how long it's gonna take til we can afford one) I'm gonna own one!
