How are we holding up..

A good question.

First of all, Logan has been saving all his money and doing little jobs around the house for the past little while to earn this umbrella. He finally had enough money to buy it last week. He is so proud of himself.

Last Friday as I was out shopping at garage sales our beautiful, wonderful, reliable truck blew up. Well it just had a major backfiring weird sound coming out of the engine and blowing big puffs of black smoke out the back.

This happened just as we were getting ready to sell it. Actually it was going on the market this week. After all, we are going to need a more family friendly car soon.

So now it is going to be a pretty darn expensive repair unless Trevor can find a way to "Jerry-rig" it. This word is a joke between us because my dad's first name is Jerry, although he goes by his middle name, and he is the KING of fixing things in an amazing Macgyver-like fashion.

Ho-hum. When is this going to get easier?

Bar results come out next Thursday.

I saw these at Wal-mart today. I am in LOVE! (the Giant teacup, not the mixer) I must have one! I have been looking for one for a while. No. Not to drink out of.

Think of all the cute creative things I could do with one of these babies! The possibilities are endless. Now I just have to convince someone to buy it for me. Maybe for my birthday?

I'm entitled to be grouchy now and again right? Today has just been one of those days. Come to think of it, I seem to feel down every Sunday night about this time. Maybe it's the thought of facing another week of joblessness. And then there's the Bar. That thing that is just hanging over our heads, hands waving in it's ears taunting "Nanni nanni billy goat!"

The stress is starting to get to me. You know I can say that here because Trevor never reads our blog. I would never admit to his face that I am scared to death and can't sleep at night thinking about this. I know I wouldn't be so stressed out if he actually had a job, not that it's his fault, or that he hasn't tried. He has many, MANY applications in right now, but I think at this point future employers are probably waiting for his Bar results as well. But what do I know. It is just a guess. I am just trying to justify and reason this all out. What a time to come out of Law School. Hiring freezes all over the place.

To top this all, the day the Bar results come out is the same day we find out if we are having a baby girl, or a baby boy. I'll be 21 weeks by then. I know. We have to wait a long time. But I am really trying to be patient....trying not to think about this all.

Of course I know that He has a plan for us...pass or fail. I know I will accept whatever that is and that I need to put my trust in Him. It is easier said than done and so hard to let go.

Thanks for letting me vent everyone. A girl's gotta let loose sometimes.

What a beautiful day it was today.

Logan and I snuck away while Samantha was sleeping to frolic in the pasture with the cows. It was quite the site to behold as we danced around the cow patties.

I love my Logan.

My little girl is ONE!

Samantha turned one on Wednesday. Isn't it crazy how time flies! We had a party for her last night. We had all the family over (it's so good to be around family again) and got the demolition from the wall cleaned up just in time. See my last post.

Sami has been such a joy to have in our home. We love her so much. She is a very sweet and sensitive little girl. Having her around has been such a change from Logan. She is very dainty in everything she does. She doesn't like to rough-house. She is all girl.

Here she is not liking her birthday hat.Daintily eating birthday cake.
A messy face.

How to keep busy when you are out of work

Here's the reason for my absence these past few weeks. A major overhaul of the main wall in my parent's house. We knocked it out. Lots of fun!
We put the banister in together. I did all the painting and stain work. I am also a good holder while Trevor screwed everything together.
