I have so much to blog about today! So sorry to be so behind!

Let's start with the Detroit Auto Show. Last Wednesday we went with the Taylor and the Mcginnis families to the coolest auto show ever! Seriously it was big! We had a fun car pool to Detroit (I got the whole back seat to myself), and I got to have a fun time watching Mike navigate his way through Detroit despite missing an exit. It was funny to watch Mike and Laura argue about who was the better driver (of course I think it's Laura, but I'm not biased or anything). So then once we got there we split up and did our own thing. I had to keep reminding Trevor that I can't walk as fast as him right now due to my pregnant condition, as he was practically RUNNING to the Jeep booth. Logan loved being able to have the run of the place. He climbed in and out of so many cars! He had a good time for sure!

On Friday I woke up with a little cough, but didn't think it was anything. It sure didn't feel like a cold, and I thought nothing of it until late that night when the cough was getting worse, and a headache and fever started. I took a whole bunch of vitamin C - BIG MISTAKE! - I had the worst indigestion I have ever had. It was horrible. Nothing touched it. Long story short, on Monday I decided I was sick of being sick so I ended up going to the emergency room (no one else would take medicaid) and was waiting there for 10 1/2 hours to be seen. This vampire-ish woman took me back to take my blood, and I warned her that it is really hard to take my blood because my veins are really small and hard to find. She assured me that she was really good, and would have no problems. Of course, she poked me first with no luck, then started fishing around with the needle looking for a vein and didn't find one. The picture above is of her handiwork. It was so painful. I finally was able to see a doctor, but I never got a room. I sat in an office chair in the hallway while the doctor examined me. It was lovely. I love the way they treat people on Medicaid. So I have Bronchitis. It is horrible. I haven't slept in days because of the fever, coughing, sore throat and the runny nose. The funny thing is they gave me the same medicine that Logan takes when his breathing issues flare up. Do I sound like I'm having trouble breathing? I don't think so! Dumb ER doctors!

So that brings me to the MaryKay order. Sorry everyone for the confusion. With me being sick, it threw my schedule off. I was able to place it today finally, and it should be here the beginning of next week. I e-mailed everyone who ordered with your totals.

And that is the end of this incredibly long post.

Toodloo!

Mary Kay

Everyone! After many more requests for another Mary Kay order, I have decided to put another one in. There is not a minimum order this time, but we do need to put it in ASAP. The deadline will be January 28th. That's a Monday. The deal is still the same. You pay COST, which is exactly half the retail price. I will need to tack on shipping this time which will be split between everyone who orders (I covered it all last time). Shipping is generally like .50 per item. If you are worried about this, and want to know an exact shipping cost, then contact me and I will tell you what yours will be. Tell everyone you know about this deal. I probably will not be putting another order in for another few months.... so it's now or never!

Still no money. I am trying to wait patiently. Bills are coming due soon. Yikes! While you are all waiting with me, listen to my Alvin and the Chipmunks song.

This one is for you Laura.

p.s. I am going to kick your trash.

You've Got To Be Kidding Me!

Financial aid came in today. YEAH! Normally this really would excite me, and I WAS excited until Trevor called to tell me that our financial aid check was only $20. Yes it is true. I have the check here in my hands. We have $20 to live off of for four months! HA HA HA HA! That is SO funny! I hope they fix this situation soon, or we will be living on the street.

Today I gave the blog a make-over. I thought it should look a little brighter since the weather has been so gloomy lately.

So here are pictures I have been meaning to post, but have been too lazy to do it:

Trevor and Logan are shoveling snow. Logan thinks his broom is a shovel.

Logan opening his Christmas present. Notice he has on Cars jammies, slippers, and has just opened two packages of cars from the movie Cars. Maybe we shouldn't have fed his obsession...

Logan took this picture of me today. I thought it was funny how good he did. He only chopped the top of my head off.

Lastly, this is Bob our snowman. Logan loves him, and tells him "goodnight" and "good morning" every day. Sadly, he is starting to melt.

Happy New Year!

Holy moses we had fun last night! We went to the Martins' rockin' New Years Eve bash. It was a blast and a half! We all sang karaoke songs, and even my tone deaf Trevor got in on the action with "Achy Breaky Heart". Logan had fun singing the ABC's and running around with Braelyn. Totally a fun time. I am so glad we have such fun friends to spend the holidays with!

p.s. Thanks Ann for the video!
